The winning team was the "Tyros" which was one of two teams entered by the Port Pirie Hospital and consisted of several doctors. They defeated the "Port Germein Sharks" by 2 runs following a tightly fought and exciting game. The Port Germein Sharks earlier won their semi final by 1 run so their many supporters were kept very well entertained.
A Classic Catch Competition was also conducted using the SACA throwing machine and was well supported with 32 people competing. Some competitors took advantage of the soft landing on the thick bed of seaweed to get the spectators cheering.
The Junior Award went to David Pole with a Special Award going to Gabriella Dennis who impressed the judges with her catching ability.
The Senior Award was won by Nathan Marwick who was also the captain of the winning Beach Cricket team, Tyros.
