FUNland..
Well, its been a while since I last wrote!

Probably because I have been doing so much.

I have had a District meeting in Pori last weekend (17+18) and I think there was 21 of us in total. It was great to meet some of the Exchange Students I hadnt met before and great to see the ones I already knew! I drove there with Brady (American) and Jorge (Mexican) and Jorge's Club President and his wife. It was about a 2 hour drive. We got to meet some Rotary men and their partners and go swimming, walk along Yteri Beach, cook Finnish sausage over the fire, visit the 'Tactic' games factory and got some free games. It was a great action packed weekend and I was very tired at the end of it as the 7 other girls in my cottage and I stayed up until 5am. Was great to just hang out and relax with other Exchange Students though.

This weekend (24th) I went to the Finland outbound meeting with my host sister. She is leaving for Mexico in July and my other host sister is Rotex. It was great to meet the 25? Exchange Students leaving for Australia. Unfortunately none are going to my District but I may still be able to see them when I get back in January.

We have started the new period at school. I am taking Biology, Art with Brady and we are making a handbag each, Art with Jorge and we are making Pinatas and English. I like English as I am able to learn some Finnish there at the same time!

I am slowly learning Finnish. I think I am not very good at it still but I am getting there. Sometimes I can understand what they are saying or what the conversation is about but not always. I will get there eventually, hopefully!

I have now also had Finland's best Kebab. Brady, Jorge and I decided we needed to try it so we went there on Friday 23rd. We also met my old host brother, Jorge's current one there and he had it with us. It was actually my second time there and I have only been there so I cant really compare it!
We have Russia in 11 days. I am so excited for it. I was talking to one of the men that organises it and he was telling me everything we are going to be doing. I already read it of course but its so exciting to hear it again. We also have the Fazer tour in 8 days. So much happening.

I have no photos for you but I will try and add some onto my Facebook this week so will add some onto here.

The weather has been crazy. It got up to maybe 7 and then we had some cold days again and it was even snowing. It is so beautiful but everyone is waiting for the Spring and Summer but I like snow. They have been saying on the news that it will take a long time for the ground to thaw out and it is frozen up to a metre underground. Its still so hard to think of that!

Loving life in Finland still and got to talk to my family in Australia this morning on Skype. Hadn't for about 2 weeks so was so good to see them. Its so cute that my niece who is 10 months refers to me as being in the computer. When they ask her where I am she point to it. So cute!
