Hi there
Hello everyone!!

I got a phone call from Napperby, Turners, yesterday (I was soooo happy!!) and thought that maybe I should tell you all something about what I've been up to.

And actually it's not that much at all... I started working at a local supermarket two weeks ago, and they've kept me more busy than necessary. I've had like 26 hour weeks at work, plus school. At the moment we have an exam week at school, and it's stressing me out a bit, but I think I've done pretty well so far. Now I have only Finnish and Maths exams left to do.

We picked up the new family member from southern Finland pretty much two weeks ago, and I think she's having the time of her life. She comes from Perth, and will be living with us for the next 4 months. We had dinner at one scout cottage with all her host families, and she got the extreme excperience of Finland's winter... The temperature at that time was something like -28C, and the cottage wasn't that well warmed up... One of the men went to boil the water for coffee and tea, but spilled quite a lot of it onto the table. He went to put the pans down, got a cloth to dry the mess and started cleaning up just to notice that all the water had frozen...

Now the weather isn't too bad. The temperature has dropped close to zero degrees, and the sun has been out there couple of times. I even got my skiis out of the garage, but never got further than that...

My parents are both doing well, but miss Australia terribly too. Just yesterday dad was watching trough their holiday pictures and telling me that we need to get back there. But first he wants to see some of you over here ;)

But how about you?? How is everyone going? I heard it's been quite warm over there lately... I'm jealous! Lol

P.S. I'll try to put some pictures up here when I get to my own computer...

"Bad" news
I read the newest Bulletin, and I've got something to correct. I know I told some of you guys earlier that my family is going to host Emily, but unlike we were told, the student coming to Raahe is not her... But we are hosting a girl from near Perth. I hope to get information about where Emily is going to be hosted and go and visit her though! I can't wait, it's less than two weeks until the newbies come!

But what else about me... School started again a week ago, and scouting is fully back in action. I got a job as well, I work at a cash register at a local supermarket. I won't be getting much hours though, but it's better than nothing! At this moment I also know that I'll be going to Switzerland in the end of April with a school project, but I'll also have time of my own and will be able to catch up with Cloé. In June I'm going interrailing around the eastern Europe with my friends, and in May I should be going to Israel, but I'm not too sure if I can make it yet. School...

But anyways, I have to go again, lessons are starting... Hope to hear from you soon!
